Well today I managed to trap myself inside the odoshi machine room with the intent on cracking how sageo are made.
My first attempt was to make a sageo for a yoridoshi. I can't seem to find any that are made just for tanto, so I made this one thinner than standard and only 1 meter in length. Ignore the orange colour, I used some offcuts.
After eight hours I managed this. Shigeuchi Style
I will now look into making these thicker and pulling the weave in slightly. By the end of next week I should have sageo cracked!
