Gentlemen, I take the opportunity to show you my last find. As a Satsuma Han fan, I am always looking after related collectibles. Here is quite an uncommon yari which is signed MOTOHIRA. I qualify it as a scarce yari due to the length of the nakago and also due to the well known shin-shinto swordsmith who made it. It goes with NBTHK Hozon papers. The nakago is 66 cm long and the nagasa is 13.7 cm. It is a sankaku blade with a very stout point. A very good weapon to deal with armoured bushi. Please see the pictures.

 Yes, I agree. Shodai? A nice clear Mei too, much shorter than his katana Mei.
