Every once in a while, members (like myself) ask for pictures of certain armour parts or of whole armours in a certain style. While our community certainly does have members who will go out of their way to provide such footage for others (which is way awesome), I want to remind you that this is nothing to be taken for granted. Even more so as photos of certain armour details may require the armour to be taken of the stand or out of its box to get a good shot.
Please note that it is not my intention to discourage you from asking for photos! Rather, I'd like to encourage you to try something else if your favorite search engine can't find the footage you're looking for: if you know the Japanese term for your item of interest, head to the kanji glossary here on this forum and find the kanji for said term. Copy and paste the kanji in whatever search engine you like and you will get search results from Japan that won't show up if you just look for the term in Western writing a.k.a. Romaji. If that doesn't help, you can honestly state that it wasn't possible to find images online and ask for some from the members
I hope this is helpful to all of you looking for visual information! David
Good advice David. There is a vast resource of images out there that could answer a lot of the questions that are asked. I use the Google images button all the time to look at variations or to clarify a point. a priceless asset compared to the 'good old days' when finding images of armours was confined to books that illustrated the same old stock pictures.
