Hello guys unfortunately i am not expert about this kind of collectables, could you help me about it? what do you think? It's a rare mask? How much would be the current market value? thanks in advance for your replies! Regards Enzo
Hello Enzo! Both, kabuto and menpo showing Kaga features. Lacing, alternating hishi, etc.... The men is decorated with a typical design (plum blossoms on a branch) seen frequently on men of the Unkai school. But as Pascal said, the pics are too small for a proper judgement.
thanks for your replies! Unfortunately i can't upload bigger pictures sorry for the bad quality... from what you see how much is a current market value of a set like these? (also from bad pictures posted lol)
As I said to you on my Facebook page. Many of the members are not comfortable with providing market value. If you are looking to insure the items you will need to obtain a valuation, most insurance firms will have their own prefered specialist. If you are looking to sell, then you can either contact a dealer, use the forum sales section or ebay. If you just want the market value you have to research that for yourself as armour is only worth what someone will pay. Check online with past auction sales.
The members here have commented on the items, I hope that has helped you understand what you have.
Hi Enzo, apart from the true words, "... it's worth what someone will pay." I like to add, that the "value" depends significantly from quality. I.e., quality of the used materials and quality of the workmanship. Furthermore, there are some other important points to consider...., anyway. To be honest, on your pics, I can hardly see that it is an zaboshi kabuto at all. I hope you are now not too disappointed and understand the problems of the subject?!
