Hard gold plated. I have lots of kanamono in stock. PM me.
Thanks for the reply. I have come across you site while sourcing for my armour and am a fan of your work. The Byo I am looking for are the tiny sakura flower shaped ones. They are used to hold the egawa in place. On another topic i read about you making egawa on your website. Did you ever get around to making copper stencils or are you still using paper? Also is your itto all hand dyed using natural dyes common in pre-war japan? I will probably be a customer of yours when I get to the finishing stages of my project. At the moment my plan is to hand cast and guild all of the pins but after making the itto and lacquering the kozane I will probably want out of this hellish undertaking.
I am using sengoku daimyos' armour manual and I have the ear and advice of someone very knowledgeable on this subject with a very nice armour of his own. Do you have an opinion on This armour manual? www.sengokudaimyo.com/katchu/katchu.html
Any other help you could offer would be great, just don't try to talk me out of it I have already spent money on tools and am gearing up for six months of kumihimo my wife is braiding too.
